The RØDE VideoMic Pro is a professional on-camera shotgun microphone designed for DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, camcorders and portable audio recorders. It provides a significant improvement over built-in camera microphones by delivering focused, high-quality audio suitable for professional video production.

At the heart of the VideoMic Pro is a 1/2" condenser capsule combined with a supercardioid polar pattern. This configuration captures sound primarily from the front of the microphone while reducing unwanted background noise from the sides and rear.

This directional pickup pattern makes the microphone ideal for interviews, vlogging, filmmaking, documentaries and run-and-gun productions where clear and focused audio is essential.

The integrated Rycote Lyre suspension system isolates the microphone capsule from vibrations and mechanical noise generated by the camera or handling. This innovative shockmount is constructed from a durable thermoplastic material that provides excellent acoustic isolation and long-term reliability.

The microphone connects directly to cameras or recorders using the integrated 3.5 mm TRS mini-jack cable. The output is configured in dual mono, ensuring identical audio signals are recorded on both channels.

On the rear panel, users will find intuitive controls that allow fast adjustment depending on the recording environment. A selectable high-pass filter reduces low-frequency noise such as traffic, wind or air conditioning, while the three-stage gain control enables optimal signal levels for different recording situations.
